Lightweight Bottom - Women's

The Marmot Women's Lightweight Bottom holds in just the right amount of heat to keep you warm (but not too warm) on winter trail runs and cross country ski trips. You don't have to suffer through the too-hot, too-cold cycle of overkill insulation. Just slip on these Polartec Power Dry base layers, and experience the excellent wicking performance. The Women’s Lightweight Bottom’s fibers dry quickly if you’re sprayed with a little snow, and flatlock construction feels extra smooth against your skin, which makes this bottom ideal for layering. Marmot used a Cocona treatment to fight odors, because no one likes to stink up the car after a great day out.

Bottom Line: Neither too warm nor too cold—the Marmot Lightweight Bottoms provide just the right insulation for your high-output days in the hills.

Nice fabric,

I was looking for a silk weight bottom to wear under my street clothes. The fabric on these bottoms is silky and light, very nice. However I did not like the waistband. The elastic was more heavy duty than needed, so by the time I layered my pants on top, it felt like too many things around my waist. I prefer the Patagonia Cap 1 with a super light elastic band. But overall the marmot lightweights are nice and a good deal on sale!

Do these pants have a pee hole? I had a pair a few years ago and loved this feature, didn't have to take them off when i had to go.

Nice Lightweight base layer

By:
March 8, 2010

I see one person thought these were more like a running tight, but I think they are exactly as advertised:silk weight base layer. My only criticisim is that the waistband is a bit burly for the job. By the time i get these silk weight under my heavy weight and them ski pants, there are lots of waistbands. But its not uncomfortable.

It is a hemmed cuff, not elastic, but the same stretch material as the rest of the pant

I returned them

By:
January 26, 2009

I liked the color and that they had a low waistband. They were a different material than I was looking for. I was looking for a silk weight, and these were more like running tights. The material was stretchy and they were a little itchy. I ordered a small, and they were just a bit to small. They weren't for me, so I returned them.

Bought 2 pairs of these for a recent ski trip to Switzerland - they were great! Did not smell after wearing several days. Would definitely recommend.
