The Marmot Launch Component Fleece Jacket is a versatile jacket for an outdoor photographer. I can't say enough about the construction and pockets to hold gear. The material really keeps the cold out, even without the fleece insert jacket.

This jacket is warm by itself, and very warm with the fleece liner. The fit is true and movement great. Lots of pockets and great workmanship.

This jacket is awesome, plenty of pockets, fleece liner zips in and out very easily, and is quite warm on top of that. My only complaint is that my sharp point softshell doesn't zip into it. It does fit nicely underneath, but does not zip in.

Very good construction and features. Runs snug though. If you wear a 44R and dislike snug fitting gear, you'll probably like the XL size better.
Extremely snug sleeves on the liner, almost felt like a pressure cuff. Which was another motivator for my return to try the XL size, but not much if any change in this area - still super tight sleeves in the liner.
Sleeves are a bit long too - but, for mobility and coverage while moving it works well.
Wondering if Marmot makes a compatible vest liner for the jacket. Will have to go looking for that to see what's out there.
All told, I'd buy it again/recommend it. The quality and comfort are very good which is what counts in the long run.
