The Marmot Kompressor Plus Backpack takes lightweight packs to a new level. Weighing only 12 ounces, this pack condenses your load with front and side compression straps. The Kompressor stuffs away into its lid pocket so you can pack it in your larger pack to use for day hikes away from camp. The foam back panel provides a comfortable fit and slides out when you need to pack extra-light.

Bottom Line: A lightweight and compressible daypack.

but I recommend paying a little extra for the Ultra Kompressor. More features and comfort. I made the switch and it was definitely worth it. Both are still incredibly compressible and light weight.

Awesome pack. It has a bladder sleeve too.

I saw this pack on the Marmot website for $50.00 but paid $59.95 on Backcountry..not a big deal.

No waist strap and I don't believe it has a sternum strap either.

My Kompressor Plus has a sternum strap, which does not really work well for me as a slimer woman. Its not easily removable but it does adjust along webbing.

No waist strap.

The Kompressor, Kompressor Plus and Ultra Kompressor all have sternum straps, but only the Ultra Kompressor has a waist belt.

Lightweight, versatile daypack.

By:

I have other lightweight packs, but I enjoy the versatility of this floppy gem. I'm not sure if the material is 'siliconated' or not, but with the seams taped it is a fairly water proof pack (submersion in creeks not included). I know its at least 70 Denier nylon. I love the top-loading rucksack style, hydration compatiblity and the roomy, see-thru mesh front pocket.

Although this pack isn't built to fit my size well, it's still stable when packed full and/or heavy.

I'd love to have some innovative back ventilation.

Great pack!!!

I used this as a daypack at Glacier National Park for hiking. It's lightweight and packed everything I needed. I'd get a hydration bladder to go with this for anyone looking.
