- Q & A
He loves it.
My 9 yr old really thinks this jacket is cool. It's a nice quality jacket and he says he is very warm. Happy it has some water protection in the material and down. It's a great fit. My son is smaller for his age and typically wears a size 6/7 or boys small. The small in this jacket is a comfortable fit and looks like he has room to grow.
Nice and warm
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
Purchased for a 5 year old, he is average in size and I purchased the small. It should fit him next winter as well.
The down is warm and lofty; the nylon exterior is not super durable and will be susceptible to puncture or tearing. That being said, it has held up great in this frigid Minnesota winter.
Little Man Style
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: True to size
My son is four and we purchased the XS. It's a tad long in length and in the sleeves but I wanted it that way so we could have a good jacket for more than one season. It's hard when they grow so fast and are between that toddler and boy sizing.
We love this jacket. I'm an avid Marmot buyer because I have trust and confidence in their products. They didn't disappoint with this. It has the Down Defender and the DWR treated material. The fill is great and he's never complaining about being cold. He likes the pockets and I think the wind flap behind the zipper makes a difference. It's adjustable on the bottom with a drawcord but that has never been something we have used. It's a great vibrant color with a great hood. I can't really say anything negative about this jacket and we have used it several times in different occasions. You get what you pay for.
I do suggest the matching Marmot beanies to get the color blocking on point ;)
