Why We Like The Halo Tent

With a unique pole design and large doors, Marmot's Halo Tent has plenty of usable living space for the whole family. This spacious tent includes several wall pockets to keep gear organized throughout the camping trip, and the double vestibules provide shelter for muddy hiking boots or duffel bags full of gear. Although it's designed for weekend camping or family camping, the Halo has the ingredients of a more rugged mountain shelter—DAC press-fit poles, floor-level vents, and a fully sealed rain fly—to withstand rainy weather during our next family camping trip.

Our home for 7 months!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My wife and I toured Europe by car from April to November and used this tent most nights. It never leaked. We had no condensation problems. It dries very quickly. Is super quick and easy to erect. Its unique halo pole design means high almost vertical walls inside. No complaints from us. It was a bargain for what it provided for us.

Awesome minimalist family tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I travel around the west with my wife and 2 big dogs in a Subaru Crosstrek. This tent is the perfect size for packing small enough, but living large enough for all of us when we wanna set up somewhere nice. It's wicked durable and easy to set up and breakdown for all of our adventures.

Horrible Condensation

I have 2 other Marmot tents, a 3P and 2P. So I decided to get a 4P for me, girlfriend and 3 dogs. I have used this on 5 trips and each morning the rainfall is dripping water on us. I leave all 4 vents in the fly open and all the windows in the tent. I have never had this problem with their other tents. Ventilation is horrible. Each morning we have to take the rainfall off and lay it on the jeep to dry out. Literal pools of water on the rainfly. Going to look for a different 4P tent.

great sized tent - Goldilocks of Car camping tens

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is awesome for a husband/wife/dog with room. Size is spacious but what is the best thing is the Doors / Windows! Each has two screens - standard bug / mesh etc but you have the ability to zip up another screen for privacy. It makes keeping the rain fly off during hot weather much more doable b/c you still get privacy. Super easy to set up... like easy! Great tent - would recommend. Marmot is good quality (esp. if you take care of it properly). The tent is big .. but not too big. 3 adults, 2 adults + kid or two depending on age, 2 adults / dog + dog mat and gear.

Outstanding

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is the stuff dreams are made of. Recently used for the first time through a heavy downpour with no leaks or rattling. I could barely believe the way this tent held up under such significant distress.

Great tent!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took my tent out camping for the first time and it was great. Easy to set up, the zippers run smooth and don’t get tangled up, and the frame held up well in the wind wish no issues.

Hands Down Best Tent I Have Ever Owned

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This tent is the coziest, most well constructed tent I've ever owned. It has I believe a whopping 18 interior pockets, loops in the ceiling for lights or Marmots bird nest storage items. The rainfly is just great. There is superior ventilation, but absolutely no water seepage or leakage points. The zippered door has an ingenious design allowing you to have as little or as much privacy/breeze as you would like. This tent has stood up to many storms, including a very intense one on which is sustained 8 straight minutes of 88mph winds with no harm done. It's got a very easy set-up and tear-down, the poles are made of durable metal tubes rather than that crappy fiberglass stuff cheaper tents have. The sleeves for the poles are a high quality mesh that does not catch or snag on the poles as you slide them through. It's lasted me over 5 years now with multiple camping trips each year, and I foresee it lasting at least another 5 years, probably longer.

Great tent but disappointing storage bag

I ordered the tent in Oct 2021 and have used it on a few trips during the past winter. I've used this tent when the temp dipped into 30s, and it kept us warm without a propane tent warmer. The storage bag is a big disappointment. It's made from very thin fabric, and the seam burst open after my 2nd trip. Considering the price point and the quality of the tent itself I'd expect a much durable storage bag.

My Forever Family Tent

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought this when my backpacking adventures were decreasing and my car camping adventures increasing. Great for two, great for two plus a baby and a pooch. It’s sturdy, easy to set up, and the flaps and windows allow for plenty of air.
