Toss your books in the Marmot Granite Backpack on your way to class, then ditch class and replace textbooks with bouldering gear. Ergonomic shoulder straps optimize the Granite's support system for comfort, so you can run away from school rather than just slink. Plentiful pockets house your water, camera, and definitely not anything you would need for class.

Tons of room

I've had this pack for a while now and I've never wished it had more space but i did start wishing it had some support for my back. It seems to function best if you keep it less than half way full. I'm looking for a pack with some support for my next day hike pack.

Love this

Being half price I jumped on this backpack and it has been great so far. I use it daily on my bike ride to and from work. All the different pockets are nice for organizing and keeping things separate. My previous backpack had one large area so all my stuff would get mixed together. With this one I can keep things separate and find things easily. The shoulder straps are comfortable and the chest buckle will hold it securely to your body. I've used it in light rain just a few times and it was rain repellant though I'm not sure how it will fair in a downpour. This will be great for going on the plane as a carry on bag with easy access to my iPhone, Nintendo DS, headphones....etc. Another nice Marmot product in my opinion.

    Pretty good deal

I was looking for a large day pack that could hold my lunch, big tax books, rain gear, and other material during the week and can hold enough gear on the weekend that everyone in my group can keep extra snow supplies on my back. Without a doubt this is a large bag with segregated pockets and in the past couple weeks its taken a beaten on the mountain but has held up well. as always the customer service here rocked and it came quickly. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is that on of the zipper straps broke the first time I pulled it. A bit of super glue fixed it.

I snagged this gem from SAC for 1/2 off and couldn't be happier! I picked the Tarmac color and love it. The backpack has a great deal of storage and is very spacious. Plenty of pockets and zippers to stash things in. The shoulder straps are pretty wide which helps with comfort and functionality. I plan to use this as a daily street bag as well as a hiking day pack.
