The Marmot Fusion won the 2003 Outside Magazine Gear of the Year Award for its innovative DualMax insulation and features. Far lighter and more compressible than a full synthetic bag, the Fusion is the perfect choice for backcountry excursions where rain is a concern, but not a certainty. Tubes of 600-fill down are nested within the PrimaLoft quilting, creating a light bag that will retain warmth even if wet. The insulation breakthrough isn't the only benefit. Easy-access hood draw cords and a Velcro®-free face muff let you cinch the hood for warmth without the rigging poking you in the head. Heavy oxford cloth is used on the snagless draft tube to insulate the zipper and eliminate sticking. No more biting coils with Marmot's zipper guards, and locking zips assure that your bag doesn't open in middle of the night, sending you scrambling for warmth. Feely draw cords put adjustments at your fingertips, even in the dark. Stow your watch/alarm in the stash pocket to avoid having to fumble around the tent for it in the morning.

Bottom Line: A unique combination of insulation makes for a unique and impressive bag.

Very nice, but I got cold one night when it couldn't have been less than 50 degrees. Very lightweight and compact, and it packs up quickly and easily.
