The super-versatile Marmot Women’s Furnace Fleece Jacket heeds the call for warmth any season of the year. Wear it alone on summer mountain evenings or fall hikes, layer it under your ski jacket for some quick-drying insulation, or stuff it in your backpack as a just-in-case layer. Cozy 200-weight Polartec fleece warms you without feeling bulky, and it breathes like a champ. A wind flap behind the front zipper keeps the cold metal zip away from your skin.
Bottom Line: A fleece tailored for a lady’s build and designed with versatility in mind.
It is a good quality with a simple design. I used it over a light base layer for snowshoeing last week. It kept me warm and wiched moisture very well. It works great as a casual wear during spring and fall as well.
i have a marmot shell, not sure of the model number,, the tags have RN-79448 or CA32277 or K9407 or FBOKCK, Will the Furnace fleece jacket zip into this shell?
Sounds like a tamarack shell. In 2010 you can use the approach or cauldron in any style. Vest, jacket, hoody. Take it to a store to make sure zipper pattern will match up and also zipper length. They are slightly different each year.
Thank you, Thank you!!!!! Wanted to get my daughter a North Face Osito Jacket for Christmas, and everything was sold out in our area. Logged on to the Backcountry website on Dec. 23rd, found what I wanted with a 24 hr. delivery guarantee. Received the jacket just as promised, and my daughter absolutely loves the jacket. Again, thank you for your excellent service.

So far I use this jacket for x-country ski and around town on warmer days. It's a good weight for that. I'm in between a medium and large. The large fits better. I like how this jacket is not too long. I have a short torso for a 5'8" frame, and I'm finding that many jackets in Medium and Large are cut too long these last couple years. That being said, it's probably not the right fit for someone with a long torso, or a taller person with normal proportions. The Saxony Blue color is prettier in person.
I was extemely happy with this fleece jacket. I do agreed most of the Marmot do run a bit smaller than other brand. But this is why I am a loyal customer of Marmot. I am 5'1 xs size and the inseam fits my arms perfect. In regarding the quality, it wasn't as soft as I first expected but very warm. Warning, fleece do fall and traped inside my finger neils.
I bought the large since that's my usual size and it seemed to ride up and bunch up so that I had to keep pulling it down. So, I sent it back and exchanged it for an XL. This one is better, but not the best for a pear shaped body like mine. I really liked the color and so I'm keeping it. I cut the drawstring tighteners out of the pockets because I don't ever use them and having them inside the pockets was annoying. The collar also stands up awkwardly and doesn't fold down smoothly when unzipped. For me, this jacket would be better with a two way zipper to open it from the bottom and a more relaxed collar.
