Despite its name, the Marmot Men’s Frontside Jacket doesn’t have to stay on the groomers. Full seam taping, waterproof breathable Membrain construction and a full-time powder skirt prep the Frontside for off-piste action.

  • Marmot Membrain construction is lighter weight than most waterproof laminates
  • PitZips provide ventilation when needed
  • Powder skirt blocks snow at the waist
  • Fully taped seams prevent water from leaking in
  • Angel-Wing Movement allows a full range of arm motion w/o jacket lift
  • Drawcord hem blocks wind

Bottom Line: All-mountain protection.

Nice jacket

Very light jacket with tons of pockets. Got it for $110 off SAC. I'm 6'- 230, and the XL fits great with room for layering. Soft material, no noise. Breathes well. I love the zipper. Its big and beefy. Slides together easily, and zips effortlessly. Hood adjusts nicely. Sleeves are a little long, but most XL sleeves are long on me. The Angel Wing design is nice. The coat does not ride up when I lift my arms.

Only complaints are the color, and the Pit zips. The Deep Blue looks a little purple in lower light. The pit zips could use mesh behind them like other jackets. When the zips are open, its like having a hole in the coat.

Tarmac color was much closer to olive drab than the picture would indicate. Bought this to replace a lost jacket- not identical to the Marmot Frontside *Component* jacket, but still a nice jacket. Does not have the extra zipper to connect a liner jacket. Outside of those two issues, its still a great jacket and am happy with it.
