With fluffy PrimaLoft insulation and softshell reinforcements in the seat, knees, and ankles, the Marmot Men’s Flurry Insulated Pant is built for the coldest days on the mountain. Full side zips make for easy venting and on-and-off, and the removable suspenders keep the pant in place when it’s time to go for the summit. The synthetic PrimaLoft PL2 insulation features fibers that are individually treated with DWR for increased performance in wet mountain conditions. Marmot also added articulated knees and a gusseted crotch for complete range of motion.

Bottom Line: A puffy for your lower half.

Warm and adequate

By:

I've had these up on Mt. Washington in 60mph winds and 15 degree ambient, warmth is not a problem, they are very warm.

The shell material itself could definitely use some ruggedizing as I already have tears in two spots. I would consider my usage on the moderate-to-hard use side. I've been using these for 3 months and am hoping they will last all winter without the need for major patching.

I like the pants overall, they are warm and comfortable, but if you are using them on a weekly basis they will probably get a little ragged.

good pants

First of all what is cold weather? for me about -25 c or -30c these pant will keep you warm if moving at these temps but not standing still maybe with ice breaker and fleece layer under neath
the fit is good very similar in fit as the scree pant and the same elastic for the leg cuff (not very heavy) they are very comforable I am 5'11 and 185lbs and large fit good
no pockets sucks but i'll get used to it
I have not had these pants long enough to tell but I don't think they will stand up to hard usage. Nice pants, but I excpected a little warmer and burlyer. For rough going I will use a good gortex shell over top. I will up date in March after a winter of snowshoe, camping and ski

A good cold weather pant

By:
December 8, 2009

These are warm, very well made and comfy. Nice full length leg zips and scuff gaurd were its needed. They offer really good motion and they fit true to size, not very baggy so no need to layer up any more than a pair of power stretch pants undernieth. The length is good not to long but not to short. Only reason there not 5 star is I was hoping for a little room in them and pockets but still really happy anyway.
