And waterproof rating?

Hey there, there isn't any waterproof ratings for the Marmot M1 fabric... Its as good as any other softshell material I have used, but still a softshell...

I have the Vertical jacket which uses the M1 and am very happy with it... holds up well in almost every condition. The Erial will be a little warmer then the Vertical since it has an additional fleece backing layer...

Here's the blurb from Marmot's website about their softshell fabrics:

M1 shells provide the highest level of warmth and thermal protection. They are best for intermittent aerobic use in cold conditions.

M2 shells are the ideal balance between weather resistance, breathability and thermal protection. They are appropriate for a wide range of aerobic use in moderate to cold conditions.

M3 shells are the most breathable in the M-series. They are best for high aerobic use in mild conditions.
