When you’re hunkered down at the belay or at the top of the hill waiting for you buddy to skin up, pull the Marmot Men’s Ellsworth Insulated Jacket out of your pack, and enjoy the cozy warmth of Primaloft insulation. The wind and water resistant shell blocks the elements in everything short of a deluge, and the adjustable hood and front handwarmer pockets help you hide from the harsh weather. A wind flap behind the front zipper keeps gusts out, and Marmot’s Angel Wing Movement provides mobility when you wear the Ellsworth on your summit push. When it’s time to climb, stuff the jacket into its inside zippered pocket.
Bottom Line: Make waiting in the cold a little easier with this jacket.
I had the misfortune of leaving my jacket at home and borrowed one of these from a buddy for a multi-pitch climbing day in NC. We got hammerd by wind and a little rain - I was cold and wet to say the least! The fabric ripped super quick and the hood fit poorly over my helmet, causing the bottom of the jacket to rise, exposing my cold skin. I'm not a big fella, 5.9, 160, but the shoulders were pretty tight, I felt like I was going to tear the back of the jacket, Hulk style! The ability to cram its self into the inside pocket was nice, even though the zipper got stuck and tore some (more) of the fabric. It worked, I guess, but I learned my lesson. Probly a good jacket if you need something to put in your golf bag, not for mountains the though, in my opinion.
how much to send to Spain Europe the jacket marmot ellsworth eclipse blue Size xl. All include also transport and how many days to arrives here.if its possible resposte in spanish, please
Just picked this jacket up on sale. Haven't had a chance to test it out htough as the temps are in the 90's in GA this time of year, hence the sale. I put this jacket on just on a whim, but as soon as I did I was sold. It felt like wearing a sleeping bag, in a good way. Very soft, very light and it packs into itself which would make a great pillow when not in use. Does feel a bit "fragile" to the touch so I would be careful with it. I didn't buy it for major stuf anyway, just a good around town coat or under a shell for hiking. I am 5'9" 190lbs and the large fit me perfectly, a major selling point as its hard to find stuff that fits right all over.

I'll answer my own question! I called Marmot Warranty/repair dept., not their customer service reps... as they don't have this info. These are actual garment measurements..... Large followed by XL.Chest 51"/54". Sleeves ....37.5/38.5 Neck 23.5/24.5 Center-back length 29"/30"The jacket has 4 oz sq/yd Primaloft in the body, 3 oz sq/yd in the sleeves and 1.8oz sq/yd in the hood.I would call this the "Medium" warmth category for winter jackets. Having a multitude of Primaloft Jackets....Marmot and EMS.... the 4 oz weight PL in the body gives it noticeably more warmth than 3 oz alone. Having a bunch of Primaloft jackets..... this is not for severe cold... like -10 or anything....... but depending on the users activity level, metabolism and all.... should be OK for anywhere from above zero to 40 plus degrees. I find Primaloft jackets to have a wider temp range than down..... making good for 3 seasons here in the Midwest. For severe cold I layer different Primaloft jackets ..... warmer than any down parka! I've got a Marmot Belay Parka that has 7 oz PL in the body... and combined with a lighter PL layer.... it's a furnace. Wearing a PL vest over/under the Ellsworth will make for a very warm jacket.
Really F'ing warm. Used it under an outdoor research jacket for ascent to top of Kilimajaro, unzipped both even though it was blizzard conditions with enough wind to be compared to New Englands worst. Amazing jacket with nice pockets. Packs real small for the ultralights out there.
I've worn this jacket over a t-shirt in 15-20F temps around town and been comfortable. It is wind resistant, but not totally windproof by itself. It works great on its own around town or as a belay jacket for cold activities.
Great jacket. Fit is king for me, and Marmot just fits me right. Also their fit is more consistent across different jackets than Patagonia, the other brand I covet. This jacket is similar to the Cauldron in many respects, such as fuzzy pockets and a hemcord. Neither has a collar cord, which is a feature I miss. The Ellsworth is 4 oz PL in the body, 3 oz PL in the sleeves, which is a great blend of weight for warmth. Good midhip length on this jacket, super warm. The insulated hood has you covered when it gets cold and chilly. Nothing to complain about on this jacket, very solid product.
