After a trip in San Francisco where my girlfriend had a daypack and I did not, I decided to look into backpacks for myself. Decided to buy the Eldorado and see how it worked out. This backpack is GREAT! I have a large duffel bag, and the Eldorado fits more clothes and gear than the larger bag. I take this on day hikes, and the side pockets are large enough for Nalgene and other large water bottles. The chest strap is great, as it's adjustable and doesn't dangle or get in the way when you're not using it. It's nice to have it though in case you really fill the bag and it gets heavier than you planned. I recently traveled to India for two weeks, and used the bag as my carry-on and day-to-day pack while exploring the cities and villages! I used the front pocket to store my Passport and essential items and first aid kit and snacks, where the inside compartment had plenty of room for my laptop, DSLR camera, magazine (since there are two interior pockets) and a few clothes or whatever I would need for the day. Even when full, I was able to find room to stick the gifts and things I'd buy from the markets, I couldn't believe how much this bag could take! The zippers are durable, and have a nice flap to cover the pulls and the zipper itself. This came in handy when I was traveling, since the cover hides the zipper pulls, making it more challenging for somebody to try to break into the bag without me noticing. After researching many bags with different volumes and features, I am very happy I settled on the Eldorado since it's perfect for normal use, and great for the days you really have to pack it full!
