Description

Mountain-to-markets warmth.

Warmth, protection, and a touch of urban styling—the Marmot Women’s Eclipse Softshell Jacket has it all to keep you comfortable in the mountains and looking sassy in the city. Cut just a little longer than your standard winter softshell and given a little more technical attention than an urban top, the Eclipse serves you well in both worlds. Stretchy M3 softshell has a flexible feel and has enough breathable water resistance to keep you dry without making you sweaty. Adjust the hood and cuffs to your liking and sashay around town without looking like you just rolled out of the mountains.

decent *light* jacket

I gave this a try 'cause it was on super sale (even though it's still too cold to wear it where I am... so I can't give too comprehensive of a review).

the first thing I noticed was that the color is totally off from the picture--it's not really a dark brown, more like khaki. doesn't affect the performance at all, but hey, I was a little disappointed.

it seems like it'll do a decent job with wind and light rain, but there's no insulation, so definitely a light jacket. the fit is cute, a little longer than most softshells and flared at the hips. I'm 5'4" and 130 lbs and a small fits great.
