Description

Wind-and water-resistant for cool, grey days in and around the city.

Change trains wearing the warm and urban-friendly Marmot E Line Softshell Jacket while on the way to another day of slaving for the man. If the bossman sends everyone home, take the E train out to the coast where the E Line’s hood and collar protect you from the cold, salty air. Set the mood with your MP3 player in the interior media pocket and go for a jog while the breathable Marmot M3 softshell fabric keeps you warm, but not so warm that you overheat on the boardwalk.

Love it

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Pros:
- Looks darn good
- Thousands of pockets
- Comfortable
- Stretchy
- Durable
- Great zippers
- Very well fitted
- Reasonably priced

Cons:
- ...

This jacket is my purse. I wear it almost every day and each pocket has a designated purpose. The inner pocket is perfect for a slim wallet: it zips up, is super secure, and you don't have to sit on your wallet all day.

It's not a very warm jacket, but it isn't meant to be. However, layered over some insulation it keeps you super toasty by cutting out the wind/weather. It's not fully waterproof, but can withstand light rain for short periods of time.

Nice jacket

Pretty comfortable and not as heavy as expected therefore packs well. Have not worn it in the rain yet. Seems like it holds up well in the wind. Be aware the brown is much more grey than in the picture.

Loving it

Exactly what I thought it would be. Light, stretchy, Warm but not bulky and best of all it looks good. Marmot's main focus seems to be the mountain. They took all the Tech off the mountain and gave it a little City Styling. So now you've got all the tech and with a stylish design that fits in at most scenarios.

Love it. Comfy, technical, and did I say comfy?

Love this jacket. Wear it everywhere - it's very wind resistant and, while I wouldn't want it in place of a proper shell if I were in a torrential downpour for hours, it's waterproof for light to medium rain. The fabric is surprisingly soft and comfortable, it's form fitting without being cumbersome and it's easy to forget you even have it on. Couldn't be happier with it

When will you have more size options in this jacket because I am looking for a medium.

An E-specially nice jacket

Just a few words on this jacket-

Lightweight
Stylish (great colors, need to be seen in person to appreciate)
Comfy
Decently water/wind resistant

My go-to around town mild weather jacket, especially when the rain be fallin' which is a lot here in the PNW. Throw a mid layer underneath for a good colder weather combo.

Fit-wise: 6ft 16olb with a long torso and the medium is pushing it on arm and torso length. It's actually to small with any kind of layer underneath but I don't care. If the arms were longer I don't know how much I'd like that as the holes are large and there are no cuffs on them.

hi. so i live in a pretty warm climate. winters here dont really get below 30°f. i need a jacket that i wont sweat in too much if i walk around all day (most often at a fast pace up farely steep terrain) but that will keep me warm in above mentioned temperature and that can keep me dry through periodical cloud bursts (when it rains really hard for like 5 minutes then stops) all that being said, will this jacket fit those needs?

what is the back length?

This question is going to need a specific measurement, so try clicking on the 'chat now' button in the upper right corner of your screen and ask the guru. They'll have someone in the warehouse measure it for ya!
