Nicely made--just not for my big head

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Seems well made, but was a bit tight on my head (I do have a larger than average noggin). I had some trouble getting the opening to line up well with goggles, but perhaps that was just because it was tight on me. It's a no frills balaclava and not the type where you could easily or comfortably wear it under your chin when you're getting warm. Easily fits under a helmet.

Nice

Nice thinner balaclava, not to tight either. Works great for taking the edge off.

Black ops - Special Air Service feeling

Besides feeling like I was part of a 1980s anti terrorist team with the name 'Marmot' on my head the balaclava is good. Nice light material and will be used on Everest basecamp trek.

Are these bac's moisture or wet proof against rain? Looking for a warm and water proof face mask for motorcycling.

Responded on

No, it's microfleece. Not waterproof, not windproof. Just really soft.
