The Marmot DriClime Base Layer Gloves increase the warmth of your waterproof ski gloves and can be worn alone when just a little insulation is all that's needed. Their fast-drying Infinity Base Layer fleece is an excellent choice whenever you need a little extra warmth without the bulk. Marmot also gave the Base Layer Gloves an anti-microbial treatment to keep your hand funk-free in the backcountry.

Bottom Line: The Marmot Base Layer Gloves add a little well-needed warmth to your favorite gloves.

I am looking for the thinnest gloves possible, to be worn in

I am looking for the thinnest gloves possible, to be worn in summer, for protecting the hands against the sun.Are the Marmot Base Layer Gloves suitable for this purpose? Thanks, Dalia

Dalia...I'd probably say not. However, any cover over the skin is better than nothing. The reason I say not is these are made more for a wicking baselayer to be worn inside another glove. If you're looking for UV protection, I would look for a thin glove with some sort of titanium oxide woven into the fabric. Titanium oxide will also enable items to transfer moisture super fast and to dry three times faster than standard polyester so it would be great for summer so your hands didn't get sweaty wearing a glove. I don't see any gloves like that on this site however.

Great lightweight liners

I've used these inside some trailrunning gloves on colder days as well as inside my ski gloves. They're functional and super breathable. However, I think they could be a bit less bulky in the seems and use a little thinner material in the wrist band. I love the material however and will continue to use these until I wear them to shreds.
