The Marmot Diva 45 Women's Backpack's excellent suspension system gives you the support of a big pack for extra comfort when you take it on a day hike. Pre-shaped shoulder straps and a split-wrap waist-belt ensure you don't feel uncomfortable when you hit the trail. i was looking for a bigger versatile travel backpack and for me this pack did not have a very good back support and adjusting system and not enough pockets for stuff outside. it is designed for more specific needs like a ski and backpacking. had to return it.

Good pack, very versatile. Only complaint is that if the pack isn't full enough, the "brain" part is sometimes awkward and loose.

For awhile I was using GoLite ski packs and finally got tired of the poor durability. I bought this pack and just tried it out on a bc ski trip. It took me awhile to figure out where all of the straps were (when the pack comes new, the straps are hidden). You have to pull out the diagonal ski strap from the bottom. Plenty of room for avy gear, extra clothes, crampons, food, etc. I am highly impressed. The only thing I'd like to have is an insulated water sleeve on the shoulder straps, but it's not a huge problem.
