This was one of my first Marmot pants. (The other beaing a Matador). As soon as I received them on the mail I noticed the attention to detail that is usually reserved for higher quality items. The interior waistband is a noticeable difference after I've had a long active day. The belt loops are large enough for my web belt and allow me to take it on or off effortlessly. The front button feels solid and snaps swiftly on/off.

As for the fabric itself, it is extremely light, whithstands abuse, it can wrinkle easily, and it can also attract hair and lint easily.

Being aware of Marmot's lifetime warranty and BC's refund policy, I'm seriously considering getting one of each color.

Built as a standalone pant for warmer weather, but also exceptional as a layering piece, these pants seem to stand up well to just about anything. For climbing, I alternate between these and some Columbia pants, but like I said, they work just as well for hiking and camping. The fabric is not exactly the thickest, so if you plan on being in some cool or frosty weather, I would definitely ensure you have a baselayer on beneath these, at the very least. All in all, great pant that has a multitudinous range of applicability.

Just spent a week in Eastern Europe in these pants. Great for hiking, sightseeing or dinner out. Very happy with them.

I simply love these! I've worn them over a base layer while playing in the snow with my nephew and have taken them on a snowshoeing trip. They are definitely versatile. They handled the snow and, when over a base layer, were warm enough. Haven't worn them in any warmer weather (I'm in Montana), but that will come too soon.
The only complaint is the material attracts dog fur (I have a husky shepherd mix and, of course, hair is everywhere), but the color seems to hide my dog's fur pretty well.
Another great product from Marmot! Can't go wrong with this brand.
