Shrug off the rain.
When an unexpected storm blows in on your hiking or backpacking trip, pull out the Marmot Women's Crux Jacket and keep putting trail behind you thanks to its ample ventilation and waterproof, breathable performance. Fully taped seams, an adjustable hood, and water-resistant zippers all squash the rain's attempt to put a damper on your hike, while two underarm ventilation zippers and Marmot's Angel-Wing Movement let you keep on trudging through the rain. Duralite zonal reinforcements prevent backpack straps from excessively wearing down the jacket, and the two zippered hand pockets are backpack compatible, so you don't lose any functionality when you're hiking with a pack.

It has been an early spring in the Tetons but that doesn't mean that we haven't had our grey days. The crux allows be to confidently leave the trailhead on an overcast day knowing that I will have protection from the rain and knowing that I haven't waisted space and/or weight with the crux packed.
As lightweight as you could get for a rain shell, with the chest zips doubling as ventilation to keep zipper weight down. A great fit and design by Marmot.
(There is also a slight stretch to the fabric which I like, and it seems to breath better than most water protectant shells).
