Guys, do correct the size in cm or just delete it... Right now, according to your metric sizing, Gimli would find this tent too tight... C'mon, the floor size is 36 x 55 cm???? And the height is 26??? That's barely enough for for a small doggy...

Orange dreams

They say they design mountaineering tents in light colors (orange, yellow) to subtly brighten your day when its pissing outside.
The crib isn't a mountaineering tent but it sure is great for backpacking with 3! I split this tent with a mate in the US and then brought it to New Zealand. As we've got pretty rainy weather, this tent has been through heaps and has performed unbelievably. The vents keep heavy interior condensation out.
Great and ventilated, not too warm and plenty of mesh to keep the sandflies out.
Get the Marmot gearloft to hang out your stinky, wet socks.

trying to decide whether to get the Marmot Crib or the Abode,

trying to decide whether to get the Marmot Crib or the Abode, and wondered which pole structure is the better design? also was reading reviews on the Aeolos that said it would gather rain above the door on the rain fly and wondered if the Crib had this problem as well? and also I noticed the Abode had side vents in the outside of the fly would it vent alot better than the Crib or would this not be much of a problem? any advise would be handy, I haven't been around 2 person backpacking tents before only large expedition tents.

My girlfriend and I have the crib 3 person tent and we are pretty happy with it. The crib has two vents on the rain fly that can be opened or closed. In a very heavy constant rain we kept them open and had no rain come in. We did notice a little pooling of water on one side just above the door. I got out and tightened the rain fly over the tent a little bit more and the problem went away. There was a slight bit of condensation that same morning, but everything remained dry.

We got the three person crib because we like the idea of keeping our camera gear inside the tent rather than in the vestibules and I like having the extra room.

The only thing I am not impressed with is the clips that the poles snap into along the ridges of the tent. Three of them have had the the little tab snap off but the hook still remains and it still functions. Once everything is snapped together its a non-issue, but annoying that the first time three of the tabs broke.

While the 3 person Crib is not the lightest tent around, it still fits in a 60L pack with almost everything I would need for a weekend backpacking trip for me and my girlfriend. Also get the footprint, it helps keep the tent in good shape and also made cleanup of the tent after a muddy weekend a snap because only the fly got mucked up by mud/sand.

Awesome Tent

I actually have the 3-person but it's basically the same thing. This tent is awesome. For the size to weight ratio it is great. Light enough for short backpacks and large enough for car camping. This thing fits my girlfriend, myself, and our dog with tons of room to spare. Solid contruction and the extra light he window lets in is great for the wetter weather. If its warm and dry enough the tent without the fly is awesome.

Pick it up, great price for a great tent!
