Chamonix Insulated Pant - Women's

The Marmot Women's Chamonix Insulated Pants take on a frigid, mid-winter powder day with a waterproof breathable MemBrain shell and toasty MarmaLoft synthetic fill. You can wait through the cold morning for first chair and ride until they kick you off the mountain without ever feeling the chill of near-zero temperatures. Integrated gaiters keep snow out of the pant's cuffs, and fully taped seams ensure you stay dry if you don’t want to wait for a storm-free day. Durable Cordura reinforcements make the pant tough enough for season after season, and articulated knees let a skier move and bend with complete freedom.

Bottom Line: Ride comfortably on the coldest of days—in a pant designed specifically for a woman.

Comfortable and warm

By:
January 20, 2011

Almost freaked out 2 days before a ski trip to CO when I re-read the comment "these don't fit over ski boots". Mmmm... yes they do. It's Marmot, obviously they are meant for this kind of thing. No problems AT ALL with getting them over my boots or riding up or anything.
Super comfortable at temps 20*-40*. Love the felt/fleece around the waist, for those rare instances when my shirt comes untucked. Love the adjustable waist too, no belt needed.
The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because I wasn't in love with the way they fit around my butt. Lame reason maybe, but I've borrowed other people's ski pants and they fit a little bit nicer around my rear. I'm 5'4", 124 and I bought a small. Length was great, and adjustable waist was fine, just wish they were a little "girlier" in my behind.
They totally serve the purpose for a great ski pant though!!! O and a great number of pockets too without being bulky or annoying.

Don't Get if You're Going Skiing

By:
December 7, 2010

I totally agree with the review that these don't fit over ski boots. I thought I'd order them to see for myself, and indeed, they don't fit over my ski boots. It's too bad because the quality is good and I liked them overall, but the not fitting over the ski boots is a deal breaker. My suggestion (since I ordered 5 pairs to see which would be the best) would be to go with the Mammut Robella Pant. It's a higher price point, but they were a good length and fit perfectly over a ski boot.

I like the looks of these pants but I can't tell how long

I like the looks of these pants but I can't tell how long they are. I am looking for a longer snow-pant that will adequately cover my snowboard boot. I have a 32" in-seam. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions on weather a M or L would be best? Thanks.

Great warm pants

By:
December 23, 2008

I get freakishly cold so I purchase gear based on how warm it is and price is not object - can't ruin a ski trip due to cold right. I purchased the Spyder Legend series pant to go with my jacket however I am too small for their smallest size so my hunt had to begin again. I purchased the Marmot pant hoping I would not be cold and I was not. I skied in below 0 temps for almost 11 days straight (of course had a Patagonia Capilene 4 base layer on underneath - freakishly cold) and was perfectly warm. The only drawback is that the waist velcro adjustment does not go small enough for me however I am a 5'2" 100 pound women.

WAAY too low rise!

By:
January 19, 2009

It didn't look low rise in the pics, but when I got these pants in they were hanging off my hips. Plus, they fit weird and bunchy around the thighs. They looked like warm pants otherwise, but were not going to be comfortable for chairlift rides. I returned them pronto.

Great Pants

By:
February 2, 2009

These pants have a great fit and are extremely warm. I do agree with the other reviewer; I was surprised at the color and was expecting black. They should have been called, "Raven when you look at the raven's feathers at an angle against a bright background." Like the other reviewer said, the deal was too great to pass up, so I'm not really worried about it.

great pants... but

By:
January 6, 2010

I got these pants and loved the color, fit and feel. One problem... no boot zipper, so I won't be able to ski with these. back they are going :( They fit great and are super flattering. I am 5'6, 124 lbs and a small fit perfect. I wish they had a zipper to accomodate ski boots. Marmot makes awesome products!

Warm Pants!

By:
December 5, 2009

I agree, these pants are warm in subzero temps. I layered them this week with only a silk long john lining and was warm in -20 degree weather. I wear a size 4 so the size 'small' is a perfect fit. The rise is just as another buyer stated that it is not too low to allow drafts but is fashionable. I'm 5'3" so the length is okay. If you're taller, you'll probably want the longer length. The front pocket is very handy. The wine color was the exact color shown in the pic and look great with my pink/burgandy coat. It was great receiving compliments concerning my new pants on the first day of skiing. I HIGHLY recommend these pants.

Warm, great fit

By:
November 12, 2009

I'm in eastern Canada so, I needed extra warm pants for -30C temps we get here. The fit was great, not ridiculously high, but enough on the waist so that you won't get back drafts on the chair. They are, as advertised. I got the blue and the colour is exactly like the picture.

These are super stylish...great fit!

By:
January 21, 2009

I bought these after reading the "way too low rise" review. I am 5'5" 125 pounds and they are the perfect rise, right at the top of my hip, not like granny panty old-school ski pants. Very stylish and hip looking.

Great Pants!

By:
January 29, 2009

O.k....these are fantastic pants, they fit great, they move freely (for telemarking) and they look great on. The only complaint I had is when I ordered the "Raven" color, I assumed that was black, but when they arrived they were brown. Oh well, I guess they'll work considering what a great deal they were, but I was really planning on black.
