Marmot Cervino

Marmot and Gore-Tex in a technical shell, well ,it doesn't get much better.I got it post ski season back East so I missed the snow, sleet, freezing rain test but I've had it out in a couple of heavy rain storms and it kept me bone dry.The Men's medium has plenty of room to layer up over my 40 inch chest on those sub-zero days. The removable powder skirt is a nice option for those days I don't need which is all to frequent back East.

Are the front chest zippers waterproof or at least taped?

Responded on

The chest zips are water-resistant and form a much tighter seal than normal zippers. As long as they're zipped up you shouldn't have any trouble with snow/water getting into the pockets during normal use.
