The Marmot ATV pant, while perhaps great for givin' ‘er on 4-wheelers, is most suited for aerobic alpine activities. Ideal as durable lightweight outerwear or as a layer beneath a shell, these Hyperlite softshell pants feature an elastic-back waist for a custom fit. Wind resistant and water repellent, alpine hikes, spring tours, and mixed climbing are perfect activities to pursue while wearing the ATV. Zippered side and hand pockets keep your essentials close at hand, while zip leg cuffs make changing boots and socks quick and easy.
These pants are wonderful. Though not windproof, they are VERY wind resistant - same goes for the water resistance. In addition, they are extremely comfortable and surprisingly warm. My only wish is that the pocket on the right leg was a little large to fit my avy field log, but overall these pants are excellent and I can't recommend them enough.
just got the atv pant, have worn them 3 times bc skiing, and they rallied. they breath, flex, repel water, you name it. only downfall is when you fall down, snow down the pants is coooold!
These ATV pants are pretty nice. Well fit, good pockets with WR zippers, and the DWR works really well, especially when hiking in snow and ice. Plus, they are quite warm. I layer these over a mid-weight capilene bottom and am nice and warm down to 0 degrees F. However, I didn't find them to be as tough and durable as everyone else says, as I tore a huge hole in the seat of the pants the second time I wore them. This may have been some kind of defect, as I haven't had any problems with the replacements (thanks Backcountry!), but now I am much more careful about the fabric. It's not weak fabric, but certainly not as tough as regular nylon pants.

I love the pants, they fit great. They are comfortable, ordering was easy, size chart was correct, shipping was timely; the overall experience was terrific.
Newer model improved slightly by adding an extra belt loop at back. Interior of pant is comfortable. Fabric quality and function is good - seems to shed water pretty well. Critical for my comfort is that the pants are not excessively hot, even in warm spring-ski conditions. I wear them without an under layer in all but the coldest ski conditions.
These are great pants. Lightweight, not too warm yet providing protection, shedding snow and light rain well. Suited for snowshoeing, mountain hiking, or fall/winter hanging. Good fit and sensible design- enough features but not overdone. I have the version from a couple of year's ago, and it shows no wear to speak of.
I love the pants. My wife has the women's style and loves hers as well. They are excellent for snow shoeing. I only wish they came in a shorter length as an option. Over boots though the length is not so bad.
