The Marmot ATV jacket gives all terrain performance for high-octane alpine pursuits. Wind resistant, water repellant and breathable, all at the same time, the ATV is a great choice for skiing or climbing. Interwoven Thermolite knit wicks away moisture when you're out givin' ‘er. When it's time to slow down, the ATV zips into compatible Marmot jackets for an extra layer of protection against harsh conditions. The ATV is built to move with you, so you'll have full mobility for starting the snowmobile.

Bottom Line: Fer gittin' after it.

Workingman's Softshell

Anything with "Marmot" on it can't be bad, and this jacket is appropriately priced for what it offers. It has no special features; no pit-zips, no slick cuffs, no neck draw-cord, no fancy tailoring. It does look and feel very nice, perfectly functional in terms of wind- and water-resistance, and is zip-in compatible with Marmot hardshells (which is the main reason I got it). If you have a Marmot zip-in compatible shell (i.e., Tamarack, Typhoon, etc.) and you want a thinner, more versatile zip-in layer than a fleece piece, this is the perfect option.

Fantastic not-too-cold or high-activity softshell

In short, I love this jacket. It's not the warmest, but I can't fault it for being what it is (one of Marmot's M3 shells; the M1 shells are the warmer ones). With this and a sweater underneath, I'm fine to about 30 F around town. Add a Marmot Windshirt and I'm good to 15 F or so. Wind protection is very good but not perfect, but certainly enough when I'm on a bicycle. The waist cinches are great, and the jacket in general is of the typically great Marmot quality. The lower torso is a bit boxy/baggy, but this just keeps if from riding up (as does the great arm construction) and hides my beer gut. I haven't had a chance to really test it with high-activity yet, but nothing indicates it will perform any worse than stellarly.

Awesome Jacket

As with everything I have purchased from Marmot, I have been extremely pleased with this jacket. As someone who does a little weightlifting, I really like generous cut and extra room in this jacket. It is by no means "baggy" it just has a little more room to move; I especially appreciate this when the zipper is pulled all the way up to my neck. I wore the jacket for the first time while climbing Longs Peak last week and I could not be any more satisfied. I even returned my North Face Apex jacket after buying the ATV. All in all this is an excellent jacket at a pretty good price.

ATV jacket

Fit was strange, sent it back. Arms are really long, and get really tight past the elbow. Even at full reach for cycling the arms would be too long for me.

I gave my boyfriend this jacket for Christmas. His old patagonia was just not holding up to the New Hampshire winters. He loves it, not only for its functionality but for it's good looks as well. He has received many compliments, from men and women, on how stylish he looks in it.
I, personally, have really enjoyed every piece of Marmot gear I have purchased.
