Great cords for all activities

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

Realizing my wardrobe was slowly converting to all skinny pants, I got the burgundy pair to help restore some balance. These are super soft, have just enough stretch in them to allow movement without losing their shape, and fit my curvy hips perfectly. I'm normally an 8, and I actually find these to be on the looser side. I was a little worried by a previous reviewer's back-gaping issues, which I've experienced plenty of, but no such problem here. The rise is perfect on these, as well, no peep shows going on, but also not obnoxiously high. I've worn them for work, hiking, and just kicking around. My only complaints would be that they're so soft that they pick up every piece of fur my cat leaves and at 5'-1" I need to get them hemmed. I just may pick these up in another color, they're so comfy!

Great cords!

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

These cords are so cute. I love the burgundy color. Fit is great, I usually wear a 14 but am losing weight so a 12 worked great. Length is good as well. Nice straight leg, no flare. Highly recommend.

Sizing not so good. No gusset

I just bought this and returned it for the size up -- these run the small end of the size chart, so if you are between sizes, go up. Also, the picture shows an inseam gusset, but the size 8 pants I recieved DO NOT have a gusset. I checked the Marmot site and they also show a gusset... hrm. I think this might be a bad photshop job, as neither site ADVERTISES the gusset on this pair of pants.

A word more about the sizing -- the size eight had a lot more difference between the size of the hips and the size of the waist than the size ten. When I went up to a size ten, the waist was probably 3-4 inches bigger than the size eight and totally gappy. it seemed like too much of a leap from size to size. For someone that doesn't suffer from gappy pants much, this is probably a great pair of cords. For someone that does..... skip it.
