They fit!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased a pair of these shorts when I saw them on the clearance rack at a local store. I thought they were cute but was a little leery of them being nylon. I hate polyester and prefer things of natural fiber (cotton, wool, silk). But I've never had any garment made of nylon and they actually fit when I tried them on in the fitting room so I decided to give them a try.

I "saved" them in my closet for our camping trip to Arizona the first part of August and was excited to try them out finally. I wore them for three days in a row with a hiking trip in the rain included! I love them! They fit, they're comfortable, and they didn't chafe while they were wet at all (and I didn't notice them smelling after three days either). I was thoroughly impressed.

I quickly bought up two more pair when I got back. Luckily they're discounting last years colors so they're much more affordable. I just hope they're not discontinuing the shorts.

I have a hard time finding shorts and pants that fit due to my waist to hip ratio being more then average (I have curves...), which is incredibly frustrating. These shorts fit. There is no gap in the back of the waistband. The waist fit and they aren't snug across my hips. They are comfortable. I also like the length of the inseam. I tend to avoid "short" shorts since I feel they tend to accentuate my hips, and I would rather not draw anymore attention there... These are great, Thanks Marmot!

I'm 5'8" and somewhere around 155-160lbs I would guess (sorry, I don't have a scale, so can't be for sure, but when I've borrowed other peoples, or been to the doctor, grr, that's usually where it falls), somewhat muscular, but not ridiculously so. I wear size 10 in these shorts.

Great shorts

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

I have only worn them a few times, but I am happy with the quality, color, and all of the pockets! They do run small?I had to return the 6 and order the 8 (I am typicaly a 4 or a 6).

I live in these

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These shorts are great I live in them, they are durable for all the bum sliding on sharp rock. They have a waste string tie that helps keep your pants up, even when carrying a lot in the pocket. They also include a velcro and zip pocket on the lower leg. I really love these shorts.

Love it!

I bought these at a local outdoor outfitter. I'm 4'11'', 90 lbs. Waist is 24", hips 33"so the 2 fits perfect. . The intent of these are for hiking. However I wore them the first time gardening in 90+ degree humid weather. They breathed well and I stayed cool. Though sweaty, the waistline did not stick or bind. I'm buying another pair right here at Backcountry. Thank you Marmot!
