Get all the technical features you need with a women's-specific design when you slip into the Marmot Angel Fire Sleeping Bag.

A women's-specific fit and extra insulation in the body and feet makes the Marmot Angel Fire 15 Degree Down Women's Sleeping Bag a solid choice for your next camping trip. By increasing insulation in critical areas, Marmot gave this bag a 15F temperature rating but kept the weight to a low 22 ounces (regular size). Marmot even beefed up the 600-fill down insulation in the Angel Fire sleeping bag with a down-filled draft collar to ensure no heat escapes into the night as you enjoy your sleep.

Great Bag

I recently bought this for my wife and she took it on a camping trip to the San Rafael Swell (night temps = low 20's). I was concerned it wouldn't be warm enough but she said she kept warm all night and never woke up being cold. The bag says a 25 degree women's bag is equivalent to a 14 degree men's bag.

Is this bag 25 degree or 15 as states on Marmot's website?

Responded on

Anita, this bag has been rated to the European Norm, and is T-comfort rated to 26.1ºF.

This means that in this bag, the coldest temperature that the average woman could sleep through the night in is about 25º. The tests are conducted on a brass mannekin, on a pad, wearing socks, a baselayer, and hat.

The T-Limit rating for this bag 15º, which is essentially the same test, but for the average man, hence the discrepancy. I find that I sleep almost dead on to the T-limit ratings.

If you are looking for a bag that will keep you warm to 15ºF, check out the W's Teton, essentially the same bag as this, but with more down fill.

Only a few manufacturers list the full results of their EN tests, and Marmot is one of these - one of the primary reasons I prefer their bags.

Marmot Angel Fire Sleeping bag:25Degree Down

Although i love the sleeping bag, there is one thing that bugs me....the zipper often gets stuck.
I also got a little chilly when i went camping in Georgia, with a temp of 34 not certain about the "25 degree down"

I'm 6'0. Could I fit into this bag or should I just go for a men's?

Responded on

Hey. The long in this bag fits 5'10". Go for a men's bag in a long. The Marmot Sawtooth is pretty much the same bag, and is also on sale for the same price.

LOVE it!!!

So, I used this bag about 4 times and it disappeared, sad day. But the times I did use it, it was wonderful. So nice and soft and comfortable. Very easy to pack. Comes with a stuff sack and a mesh bag for when you're not out in the wonderful wilderness. Just saving up so I can buy another one!

My girlfriend has the Angel Fire and I would like to get a sleeping bag that can zip in to hers. Do any of the Marmot bags do this?

Best Answer Responded on

Yes the majority of the Marmot bags zip together. The one problem you will run into however is the difference in length between a mens and womens bag. They will still zip together but may match up a bit awkwardly.

I have the Angel Fire and my husband just bought the Sawtooth - they don't zip together! The zipper on the Sawtooth is actually a wee bit smaller. Any recommendations?

...not so much a question, more a comment. according to the marmot website...the fill weighs 22oz, whereas the whole bag weighs 2 lbs. 12 oz.
I'm trying to find a nice light bag and with the cheap price ....just didn't add up. I'd check the weights on this site with the brand name of the other weights for a mtn. hardware bag is wrong too.

when packed down, how much space will the sack take up.

Responded on

Depends on whether you use a compression stuff sack or not. The regular stuff sack packs down to about a large, fat loaf of bread. My wife uses a granite gear compression sack and it gets down to about the size of a football.

If you lost the stuff sack for this bag what size stuff sack would you need?

Responded on

I'm pretty sure we use the round rock medium (granite gear). The dimensions are 8.5 x 19 uncompressed.
