For high output jaunts in chilly conditions, zip up the Marmot Men’s Andromeda Softshell Jacket, and enjoy stretchy, breathable weather resistance. Polartec Power Shield fabric sheds rain, snow, and wind for everything from trail runs to foul-weather climbing, and Marmot sized the Andromeda to fit over a light layer. Four pockets store your camera and other small essentials, and Marmot’s Angel Wing Movement ensures that the jacket won’t pull up every time you raise your arms.

Bottom Line: A great choice for casual outings or chilly backcountry forays.

this jacket is warmer than the sharp point but the seams are delicate because they are outside. she looks very good but she is not abrasion resistant.

Is this jacket too heavy for xc skiing and snowshoeing in 20-32

Is this jacket too heavy for xc skiing and snowshoeing in 20-32 F weather? i don't really have a frame of reference for softshell jackets. i just know my hardshell jacket with pit vents is not breathable enough.

I am trying to decide between the men's Marmot Andromeda

I am trying to decide between the men's Marmot Andromeda Softshell Jacket, or the Marmot Moran Softshell Jacket --- could you let me know the difference would be for warmth, fit, etcThanks, dean

The Andromeda will be a bit warmer due to it's having a fairly thick fleece inside. The Moran has lots of stretch, which is good for climbing and skiing.

They're return policy rocks! If you EVER not totally satisfied they'll either give you an exchange or a full refund! Doesn't even matter how long you've had it......1 week, 1 month or 30 years......No questions asked!
