Great for a mid layer or as a stand alone jacket for temps down to about 25 degrees. Reasonably good in the wind, but not windproof. Very soft and tends to be a little bigger than most other cold weather wear for the size ordered in torso and sleeve length, but that's great for active wear (like skiing). The draw string hem lets you shorten the torso length easily. Pocket placement is great for skiing or hiking and the chest pocket fits an iphone easily. Only complaint is a common one. The neck is a little tight for size, but can be stretched enough to make it work. Overall my favorite mid-weight fleece and I have a big stash of them.

I picked this up on SAC for a good price, I really liked the look of the fleece, and wanted something lighter weight than my heavier Monkey Man fleece and the Marmot Kingpin softshell I have.
First, construction is quality. The fabric is nice and soft, provides a pretty good warmth to weight ratio, and it looks good. Wind blows right through it, but that's what you would expect. Nothing wrong there. Good Marmot quality, except the main zipper is a bit weak, especially for a lightweight fleece that's $125. I would expect a better zipper.
The sizing is what really upsets me with Marmot's line. My Kingpin softshell is one of the best fitting pieces of outerwear I own. It's nice and snug through the torso, the arms are fitted, it's got a great length, and the angel wing movement is noticeable. Perfect fit, I wish all my jackets fit like it. I'm about 5'10", 165, slim build, and got a size small. In the Kingpin, fits great. This jacket, not. The sleeves are a good length, perhaps even a bit too long, the upper body fits well, and then the lower body is super tight, and short, just barely making it past my belt, and I have a short torso. It was disappointing. So I returned it and got a medium. It fits a lot better, but now the arms are too long, and the body is just a tad baggy, but it's a lot closer to my Kingpin in small. I don't know what's up. They should fit about the same. I've experienced this with other Marmot jackets, the sizing is just not consistent at all.
The last thing, and this is a minor gripe, is that I wish it were a little more slim or form fitting in the arms. A lightweight fleece is not typically meant to wear as the outermost layer, so why is it so baggy? Again, I know it doesn't say it's an athletic fit, but I wish it were better for layering.
Overall, I give it four stars, just because it does serve it's purpose, especially for the price I paid, and it looks really good.

This jacket is awesome. I wear it around town and as a layering piece. It looks great and fits well. I suppose the arms are a little long, but the fit is pretty snug for the most part. I'm 5'8" and 130lbs and I got the small. Fits like a glove pretty much.
More important though is how it functions. It's great on a cold day if the wind isn't too strong. I've worn it down into the 20s for quick walks around town comfortably with gloves and a hat. However, for long idle exposure to cold, I'd say its good on its own down to the mid 40s.
If the wind is up at all, wear a wind piece over top. With a shell over top though it traps warmth in really well for a piece of this level.
Get this fleece. You'll love it.

I'm 5'11" with broad shoulders, deep chest, and long arms. The XL size fit very well, with room to wear a sweater under if desired, but wasn't overly long at the waist. The fleece fabric is soft and very comfortable, the stitching was perfect, and the zippers seem durable. A high quality product, in my opinion. I'd consider it wind resistant but certainly not windproof. Not being an earbud wearing type the lack of that zipper didn't bother me.

Love the look, feel, performance and quality but I too wish this great fleece had the headphone port on that inside pocket as advertised. This fleece sure seemed to do a far job blocking those afternoon winds and keeping me warm above 12,000 ft in Colorado and held up amazing rubbing up against the rock faces on the way down. The size was perfect for me... I am 5'11'' and weigh 188 lbs. with a really long torso and I got the size large. All and all though other than the missing headphone port I couldn't be happier. If i wasn't expecting the headphone port I wouldn't have missed it and would have given this fleece a 5 star rating.

Love this fleece but...
