The Alpinist features water-resistant pack pockets that you can access with a pack or a harness on. You can remove the powder skirt when snow isn't an issue. The hood slides over your helmet with ease, but the ERG adjustment lets you cinch it down across your head; either way, the laminated wire brim ensures complete visibility while you belay your buddy.  And an elasticized drawcord at the hem prevents blustery blizzards blowing up your body.
