The Marmot Men's Ajax Down Vest makes for a great mid-layer during frigid ski sessions. It's stuffed with seriously warm 700-fill down insulation, and the insulation has Down Defender water-resistant technology to retain the down's loft―and, therefore, its warmth―in wet environments. Its durable polyester shell also has a water-resistant coating so you're doubly protected against wet weather.
The shell is incredibly smooth too so you can slide your waterproof shell over this mid-layer with ease. One internal media pocket lets you jam out to your favorite tunes while you battle the cold. And two handwarmers have a soft fabric to keep your hands cozy as well as warm.
