i was hoping the footprint would extend out to the extra space undernieth the fly. other then that it works great.

you don't want a footprint to extend beyond the borders of the floor. This would lead to water collecting in between the footprint and the floor.

When you don't have the fly on it comes undone from the bottom of the poles occasionally. When you have the fly on it's buckles snap into the footprint, you pull it snug, then it's rock solid. The floor of the Aeros isn't super think, good investment for sure.
