A master of wet-weather protection.
Spitting rain and sleet won't phase you when you're wearing the Marmot Women's Adroit Jacket. This durable, waterproof, breathable rain jacket is built to keep you moving through inclement weather. Marmot's NanoPro MemBrain 2.5 layer shell is now more breathable than ever, and it is supported with underarm ventilation zips for even more breathability when you're making that final push up the hill. Every detail of this jacket keeps rain at bay with fully taped seams, water-resistant zippers, and Marmot's Gale Force hood, which is fully adjustable and fitted with a moldable brim. The two hand pockets maintain functionality when you're wearing a pack, and the Angel-Wing Movement construction allows your arms to move freely during ridgeline scrambles.

Unusual fit, but waterproof!
- Familiarity:I've used it several times
- Fit:True to size
- Size Bought: Small
Technically, this jacket is perfect. It has been water- and wind- proof in the PNW. I'm giving the jacket four stars because the fit is unusual.
I initially ordered an XS, because my first color choice was only available in that size. When it arrived, it fit, but the torso was short, and there wasn't enough room for layers underneath. I then exchanged it for a small in another color. When the Small arrived, the torso was a great length, but the sleeves are baggy and very long. I considered returning the jacket, but have decided to keep it.
I'm happy with my choice, and I love the higher-opening pockets that don't conflict with the hipbelt on my pack. Just be aware that the fit is a little strange.
