The Marker Women’s Tropic Insulated Jacket combines a sleek, feminine cut with plush insulation for both looks and comfort on the mountain. Excellent 20K-rated waterproofing and fully sealed seams protect you from the harshest storms, so you can ski to your heart’s content in a happy warm bubble. Marker didn’t scrimp on the trimmings with this one: a soft microfleece collar, underarm vents, and adjustable cuffs and hem complete the Tropic Insulated Jacket. the sleeves seem really long, and I've never had that be a problem with a coat before. I could just hem them, but there is a pocket right down by the wrist that doesn't leave much space to do so.
Also, the majority fabric is shiny... like in a silky polyester kind of way. It doesn't really show like that in the photos, so I was a bit surprised when I got the coat. I think it could grow on me, but I when I get a coat, I want to just love it right away!
I love backcountry... so I'm going to exchange this coat for another one. If this coat just had different fabric and shorter sleeves, I would definitely keep it; everything else about it seems great.
