    So light, yet so grippy.

Thanks to the Manduka eKO SuperLight Yoga Mat, you no longer have to leave your belovedmat at home when you head out on road trips or traipsing around the globe. This sticky, slip-resistant mat comes in at about two pounds, so it won't weigh down your travel bag. The tightly-woven scrim helps keep moisture and sweat at bay during a light- to medium-perspiration yoga session. It's made from non-Amazon-harvest, natural tree rubber, so you can feel good about the purchase as you feel good about your practice.

    Great travel mat

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This is a wonderful mat. I typically use a Manduka prolite mat, but I wanted something more portable for travel. This mat slid easily into my small carry on suitcase. It quickly resumes its natural shape, this folding it is no problem. It is very sticky and has the high quality one expects from Manduka. I am so happy with this purchase and highly recommend it! It can easily be paired with a yoga towel if you need a little more cushion.

    Perfect Travel Mat

I absolutely adore Manduka and their mats. I have a full-sized mat at home, and it has changed my practice. This mat is incredibly thin which is what I wanted it for: the gym, traveling, outdoor yoga, etc. It is ULTRA grippy which is amazing for me, but I do find that it bunches a bit in certain postures because of this--it doesn't bother me, but I thought I'd mention. This folds into a small rectangle or rolls up to have the approximate circumference of a shampoo bottle. If you're looking for a mat that is compact and portable without sacrificing quality or your practice, then get this one!

great grounding, not great for hot yoga

      • Familiarity: I've used it several times
      • Fit: True to size

I love this mat for its functionality. It can be folded easily into a backpack and also lets you comfortably feel the ground. It is perfect (for me) at room temperature. However, when using for warmed room studios, I found myself slipping a bit/ needing to be extra careful to stay in poses.
Long story short.. if you're using this as a travel/commuter mat and will not be doing hot yoga, this is a great purchase.

      Nice Mat

I like this mat all around, it's lightweight and thin so I can pack it easily, it's grippy and comfortable on all surfaces. I'm fairly new to yoga but I prefer it to other thicker ones I've tried, definitely more of a minimalist feel.

        Great mat for a newbie

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times
        • Fit: True to size

I am totally and 100% new to yoga, so I wanted to get a mat which is on the cheaper side (until I actually see that I like it). This mat seriously did the trick! This thing is super light, super easy to store, and does the job! I no longer slip and slide around the floor when trying to do a downward dog position. The only thing I would like is if the mat were a little bit thicker (and more cushion-y) but that is what you get when you buy a mat on the less expensive side of things! Overall, I would totally recommend this to anyone looking into getting into yoga, or if a pro needs a travel mat or anything like that!

        For on-the-move Yoga

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I read a lot of reviews before buying this mat. The one by Jess: http://www.backcountry.com/manduka-eko-superlite-yoga-mat#review-atg427114 that said she purchased it for Costa Rica made it a no-brainer, being that's where I was heading. This was by far the best purchase I made for my trip. Can't say enough about how well this mat held up. It was perfect in the hostels or on the beach. After traveling on Costa Rican roads you'll want this mat:)

        Great travel mat

Great travel mat- folds/rolls up small and is super grippy! I use it often over another mat at home, or with a Manduka towel over it for more hot/high intensity classes. Nice to have as an option- not to use for an everyday mAt

        THE Travel Mat

        • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I purchased this mat for a backpacking trip to Costa Rica and got so many compliments on the size of it. It is incredibly thin - when rolled, it fit into the side/water bottle pocket of my Osprey Aura 65L. It can also fold up flat. Since it is thin, you can definitely feel anything under you but that only added to the experience of doing yoga on the jungle floor for me - picture your toes gripping roots & contours while in a tree pose. When I needed extra cushion on my knees or head, I would fold the mat over or use a towel. This mat is also very grippy! It kept me from slipping in the humid jungle heat better than my home mat. I used this on the beach as well and found that sand was very easy to shake or brush off.

Bottom line: I love this mat! And I plan to purchase one of the thicker Manduka eKOs for my home as well!

I chose this mat over the prAna Nomad because of it's size. Read my Nomad review here: http://www.backcountry.com/prana-nomad-travel-mat#review-atg427112

        Great Travel Mat

        • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I've taken my mat on the road a couple of times and I'm impressed by its packability and quality. The mat folds up super well into my carry-on for ease of travel, and the grip on the mat is incredible! It's also super lightweight and I found that there is plenty of support during poses. It definitely won't be as cushy as your typical yoga mat because it is very thin, but I thought the mat works very well for yoga on-the-road. I plan on taking it on a month-and-a-half long trip abroad and I anticipate that this mat will hold up for regular use. Stoked!

        Great for travel!

Amazingly light and easily folds to fit into a tote or travel bag. A great way to continue your yoga practice on the road. Not fun to practice on hotel carpet!?!!?! Also - I've used this on top of a rental mat when traveling and LOVE!

My superlite is the BEST! super portable and love the vibrant colors. I use it on mostly grass and sand since it isn't think enough for daily support in a studio. It is very grippy and I have found that cleaning it with a 50/50 mix of vinegar and waster is helpful!
