Description

In bounds or out, the Verbier Pant has your lower half covered.

The Men's Mammut Verbier Pant is loaded with features geared to suit the needs of hard-charging freeriders. The loose-fitting 3-layer Gore-Tex Softshell fabric provides complete winter weather protection and allows for the freedom of movement expert skiers require. Two-way side zips provide ventilation on sunny days or during the skin up and the extra large snow gaiters comfortably fit over freeride boots to keep the snow out. Suspenders keep your pants where you want them, plus the jacket-to-pant connection allows you to hook up the Verbier to your Mammut jacket for the ultimate snowproof protection. Water-tight zippers prevent moisture from seeping into your pockets and ruining your phone or map, and reinforced hems keep your cuffs from getting shredded when you're hiking or walking through the parking lot.

You can see the side vents and pockets pretty well, and how they fit over ski boots. I'm 6'1'' and wear a 36x32 pant and these are the 36

Great pants.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I've had them for a bit over a year now. These pants are bomber.
I use them for back country skiing and any other snow or cold weather activities. I've only got one complaint so i'll start with that. The suspenders are velcro-ed on, and when you wear a pack, it really pushes the edges of the suspenders into your back. Not the most comfortable thing, but was easily fixed with a pair of suspenders from an old pair of pants.
Now for the good- which includes everything else. They are super waterproof- good to go in wet snow, and have even proven themselves in rain. The gaiters fit well over skiboots, and material around the cuff and on the insides of the lower legs is pretty tough. theres a few cuts from my edges, but they havn't gotten any bigger over time- good rip-stop. The thigh pockets are pretty big, well placed, and hold whatever you need; and the hip pockets are good for a pocket knife, lighter, or something of the like. The zips on the pockets and along the outer seems are all welded and tough. The side vents open straight up, no mesh, for unrestricted venting- just dont forget to close em up before the down. The material is soft- not like a traditional softshell- but much more pliable than a hardshell, and combined with the thin brushed fleece, theyre super comfortable to wear on their own or over a layer. The cut is nice, and keeps everything functional. Another steallar job by Mammut.

Hi Ellen, if you click the link that reads "Size?" just below the "Select Options" drop down menu, where you pick size/color, you will see a chart with measurements for each size. You can access these helpful sizing charts on any of our product pages!

But for your convenience I'll list them here too:

Small - 31.5in
Medium - 31.9in
Larger - 32.3in
XL - 32.7in

Hope that helps!

I wear a 36x32 in normal pants, and i have these in the 36. They fit a little long if im wearing hiking boots or shoes, but with ski boots they come just to the top of the foot part of my boot.

Run a touch long for short guys

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

32 waist, 31 inseam (yeah, pretty short legs). MD is honestly 6" too long for me - crazy. No worries really, just kind of bunched.

Otherwise a brilliant light weight BC pant with 'spenders to hold things up. Very nice, simple hard shell for a wide range of temps & activities.
