Get a move on—with ease.
When you're climbing or scrambling on cold, exposed pitches, you need gear that perfectly balances mobility with protection—a feat that's right in line with the Mammut Women's Ultimate Westgrat Jacket. Featuring a WindStopper membrane sandwiched between the stretchy, abrasion-resistant exterior and the soft, fleecy interior, the Westgrat gives you the freedom you need to really reach for that next handhold without sacrificing one iota of warmth. The frontreach sleeves facilitate reaching without worrying about exposing your arms and wrists to the cold. Front pockets are configured so you can access them while wearing a climbing harness or pack.

- Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
Had to return it because this x-small was not the same size as her other Mammut jacket that is x-small.
Warm, wind resistant, great colors

I bought this for spring skiing/backcountry use, though It's definitely a jacket you can use in the colder winter months with good layering. For myself, i tend to get cold so i prefer a bit more insulation when it's colder.
What i love:
1)the nice, mid-thickness material that provides warmth and wind resistance without bulk. You hardly need a mid layer in the spring!
2) the side pockets - perfectly positioned so they are accessible wearing a backpack
3) pit zips - yeah, you need those
4) it looks good on - easy to transition it to a walk around jacket too
5) ok fine, the pink color is absolutely amazing!
Mammut is cut a little bit looser than Dynafit, for example, so it's all around roomier on me - I bought an XS, but it fits closer to a S. 4 stars instead of 5 because i wish they cut a bit smaller.
In the photo i am skiing down the Birthday Chutes in Telluride. I am also wearing the dynafit mercury pants - my fave soft shell pants
