Does this pack have good attachments for snowshoes?

Responded on

The Mammut Trion Nordwand is an incredible pack but much more adept at alpine climbing and ski touring. Unfortunately it lacks the appropriate compression system or pouch ideal for snowshoe carry. Instead I would focus on packs that are designed for vertical snowboard carry like the Deuter Freerider Pro 28L or MHW Wayback.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

It's pretty small for overnights so have your kit dialed. Great for alpine climbing and ski touring. Full length zip gives access immedately. Pretty light, carries loads well. Great pack for ski patrollers. Taped seams for waterproofness. The 2 alum. stays that make the frame are removeable, the slide together to make a stick clip, one end of one of the stays is notched like a nut tool.
