    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

This headlamp is very bright and offers the correct amount of light modes, but it has a few drawbacks. First I would like to say that I like that the lights themselves pivot up and down, rather than the whole module (batteries and all ). The first problem is the battery placement and cover. It is difficult to put the batteries in and take the cover off, just inconvenient. The big problem is with the button. You have to tap it twice to turn it on, but you cant feel if you are pressing it or not. Sometimes it is necessary to push it thirty times to get it to turn on. Simply impossible with gloves on. I am not sure if this is just an issue with mine in particular or with all of them.

I purchased this as a backup headlamp and it will stay in that place for sure. I would not trust this headlamp on long trips or ones where light is vital.

    Mammut-T-Peak Did Not Work

What a disappointment. I've been working on it for several hours trying to get it to work. The only working function is the emergency one time 3 flash pulse. Looks good but totally doesn't work. It was a Christmas gift so will return it as soon as I get a receipt.

      Did NOT work / defective

I just shipped it back as the only working function was the emergency one time 3 flash pulse. Manufacturing quality control failure as this should have never left the plant. Looks great in person though :) Time to go back to PETZL or Princeton Tec.

Too hard to turn on, buy something else

This light looks good and puts off the proper amount of light. My only complaint, just like Eric Watford is that it's really difficult to turn on. This is really annoying, and because of it I would not recommend it. Don't even think about trying to turn it on with winter gloves on, while ski touring or camping.

Try turning me on with your gloves...

The only real complaint I have is a very REAL complaint. It is very difficult to turn the head lamp on while it is on your head. I understand that this is probably a feature to keep the head lamp from turning on accidentally while in your pack but they went too far.
