Brings lightweight comfort to the backcountry.
Skis underfoot, the alpine ahead, and Mammut's Spindrift Tour Backpack make for a fantastic adventure across the backcountry. This pack's Motion V Frame system utilizes flexible aluminum stays that transfer its load across your hips without hindering your freedom of movement. The system also includes dual-layer EVA padding across the back, adjustable shoulder straps, and a detachable waist belt. Mammut also lined this padding with Air Mesh to ensure ventilated breathability.
Despite a 32-liter capacity, the Spindrift wears a slim design to ensure a full range of motion with your arms, even with your skis on the sides. It is hydration-compatible, with an array of touring-specific features like a pocket dedicated for avy gear, gear loops, and attachments for ice axes and trekking poles. Lateral compression straps secure the Spindrift's load for a stable ski session.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Great ruck style touring pack. Internal Avy sleeve is large. Lid pocket is good sized. I like how tall and narrow the pack is. I can put a ton of stuff in it. I have not come close to filling it early season. Ski carry is nice but I like the fact I can carry my splitboard as ski's or a board. I know the pack doesn't say snowboard carry but trust me it does. Pics to comes. The straps can connect in front to create a board carry. This thing is everything I am not, sleek and clean. There is no excess BS that isn't needed. I have a Dakine Pro 2 that I have loved for a long time but when it came time to upgrade, I went with something that has a lot less going on. Clean, simple and well designed. It could use a small side or bottom access with how narrow it is. That's why is gets 4 stars.
