Am really enjoying them. Have not hiked in them, but have worn them all day around the house and yard. Have not gotten any blisters. I did follow the advice of other reviewers and purchased a larger size. I wear 8.5 or 9 and ordered a 9.5. They fit perfectly. A little stiff at first, but they quickly were very comfortable. Would definitely recommend them.

With a good pair of socks yes. But if you are planning any snow hiking, I would suggest a pair of Gaiters

I just got the boot, have done a couple hikes, and so far I like it. Had a previous Raichle boot which never gave me a blister from day 1. Mammut boot gave me heel blisters to start but seems to fit well otherwise. Will break it in and see what happens. A little short footed though so bought 1/2 size bigger.

It looks like these are 3/4, which means they just go a tad above the ankle.

what a great hiker. Looked for a replacement to my favorite old Raichle boots and found that Mammut is now Raichle. very comfortable and no blisters after a month of use. I love these, cant wait to use the at Cincque Terra this June!!!
