This is an awesome little light

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

It uses only one AA battery, hangs around your neck like a puka shell necklace, and is always ready when it gets dark. One battery means one back up battery instead of 4 plus 4 backups. It doesn't require any tools to change the battery, but it's not water proof or even resistant as the trade off. That said, it's always around my neck when I hit the trail.

Does anyone know the exact weight?

Mammut's web site lists the weight with battery as 48 grams.

Eh, its twenty bones...

Good thing this lamp was only $20, cause it is tiny and I lost two before I learned my lesson. It is very lightweight, we're talkin about two dollars in quarters here, and doesn't feel like anything on your noggin. Perfect for leaving in your car for emergencies (like trying to start the bonfire, changing a guitar string in the dark, you know) and its way easier to stomach when you stumble out of some party and forget this than your Tikka 2 XP Core.. Expensive mistake, learned my lesson.
