Toasty insulation for alpine temperatures.
As Mammut's warmest insulated jacket, the Women's Pilgrim Down Jacket is designed to keep you warm in frigid alpine temperatures. So if climbing glaciers or camping in the cold tickles your fancy or gets you to where you're aiming to go, you'll love this jacket's toasty 750-fill down warmth along with lightweight but tough Pertex Microlight ripstop fabric that offers hard-wearing water- and wind-resistant protection. The helmet-compatible, insulated hood and high collar keep your neck, chin, and head warm, and the hood can be zipped off if conditions don't call for it. Lycra hand gaiters hold sleeves in place, provide additional hand coverage, and seamlessly integrate the sleeves with your gloves, and you can quickly cinch down the hem with the one-hand drawcord for added protection at the waist. The jacket's highly packable down makes it easy to stuff in the included packing bag and stow in your backpack or luggage. Wherever you end up out in the cold, this toasty jacket offers you the warmth and protection you need to stay comfortable.

perfect winter warmth but puffy
- Gender: Female
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
When I first put this jacket on and wandered out into biting cold and icy wind, I was in heaven. The down indeed offers incredible, breathable warmth. My husband, who was with me, was a shivering mess, but I was wrapped in insulating bliss. Be warned, however: this jacket is truly puffy. There are definitely lower-profile jackets out there, and I wish it was one of them. But the fit is perfect: enough room for layering without being too bulky. So its lack of bulk (along with the uniquely pretty curved baffle stitching) helps reign in the puffy look from getting too dough-girl. The hood is an ample size, though I wish the visor was a little larger. The smooth Lycra cuff gaiters are also a nice touch. There's a couple handy little internal pockets and I love the fleece-lined hand pockets.
