Without the '80s, we wouldn't have day-glo shirts, acid-wash jeans, or the high-top fade, but we also wouldn't have dudes sending 5.12 in short shorts, gym socks, and high tops. The name of the Mammut Neon Pro Backpack may be a nod to your favorite decade, but it's actually completely modern, with a super-wide V-Cut opening that makes it easy to get your rope, shoes, and XL cams in and out at the crag. It also carries well, courtesy of a Contact Vent V-Frame suspension and anatomically shaped and padded hip and shoulder straps. The 3D EVA foam back panel, which has air vents to help keep you cool, is complemented by two compression straps that shrink the Neon to a comfortable 10L pack on light days, and gear loops inside the pack and on the hip belt, so you can stay more organized than a Rolodex.
