On your next trip to the Alps or the Rockies, let the Mammut Mt. Peak LTH Boot support your feet from hut to hut or peak to peak.
Insulating memory foam around the tongue and ankle provide support and cushioning on long hikes and returns to its original shape after a long day’s hike
The reinforced motion control system uses a heel cap to hold your foot in place to prevent outward foot rolling
High lateral support system allows for extended motion forward and backward so you don’t feel like your boots have been covered in concrete
Soft leather lining works with your wool socks to prevent the growth of blisters
High-cut rubber edge means you can stomp through deeper puddles without endangering the leather upper
How do these boots run. Are they a "narrow" medium or a "wide" medium. I have a narrow foot and some medium boots fit me (Scarpa sl m3), but others do not. Is the length true to size?
I wear a 10B in street shoes, but usually go up to a 10.5 medium or narrow with heavy socks in hiking boots.
These boots are the best. I had a pair of leather hikers for 6+ years that Raichle made for REI and they were great. I was please to discover that Raichle is now making quality boots for Mammut which is also a solid company. These boots have all the bells and whistle for someone who is looking for a serious hiking boot just shy of a mountaineering boot. The leather is very soft inside and out. I am a huge fan of the rubber rand all the way around the boot, as this is precisely where my last boots wore out. These boots blow any other high line boot out of the water by avoiding unnecessary design and new age nylon "solutions" to waterproofing, treat the leather properly and they will really work for you. The only con I can think of is there are four lace hooks up the ankle which is a bit odd but I can get over it for an otherwise perfectly constructed boot.
Nice looking boot, to be sure- but it's a shame they went for a cheap EVA midsole. Using leather instead of nylon is moot if the midsole won't last. Inexcusable for a boot in this price range and weight class to take the cheap EVA route instead of using PU. Good for infrequent users, I suppose.

Raichle was bought by Mammut a few years ago and this spring they changed the branding on the boots to Mammut. Still the same top quality and fit as the Raichle boots. Still made in EU. Killer boot that fits great. locker heel fit and supportive but still flexes in the right spot. All this equals no blisters and a long lasting boot.
Though these boots are made in UK sizes, our 'select options' drop-down menu above, the variants have been converted and are displayed in US Men's sizing. Order your US size!
This is a great heavy backpacking/light mountaineering boot. Overall, the boot is beautifully made. The full leather lining and careful use of padding create the best fit I have experienced in a boot of this type... ever. The sole, rands and one-piece nu-buck leather upper are all well suited to purpose. Lacing eyelets and hooks ably assist in obtaining a snug fit without excessive pressure. The boot has a solid feel around the heel and ankle, but flexes effortlessly with the forefoot.
In fact, I like these boots so well, I am seriously considering getting another pair to have on hand as spares. Another great boot from Raichle!
In China, but the quality of these boots is still fantastic. I was very impressed with the quality of the interior and exterior leather and the stiching. Too bad they don't fit me.
