Long n Lean

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I tried these out for a day, and while construction and comfort are definitely excellent, I found the fit to be somewhat crazy. [Euro time!]
I think these will work best for ladies who are long and lean, 100% a great choice for those who are leggy. I have fairly short legs and a short torso, and these fit me very awkwardly. My ski buddies kept telling me they loved my 'mom jeans' so I don't think this Euro style cut works well on shorter folks. They are incredibly fitted, absolutely no bagginess to be found.
If you are looking for a fitted, long and lean pant this is your ticket. I think these would make really excellent mountaineering pants.

I liked the full side zips, and the waist was very adjustable, suspenders were also really comfy. The orange color is very cool with its contrasting zippers.

I would highly recommend these pants to taller ladies seeking a fitted cut. It didn't work for me, but on the right person these will look killer.

I'm interested in these pants but I think I may have the same sizing issues you had -- could you tell me your height and what size pants you ordered so I can compare? Thanks!

Hi there Step,

I am 5'3" and 120lbs. I was testing the size Medium. Size small would have been far better.

Okay -- I'm 5'2" and 125, and I was thinking of going with the medium so I could wear base layers/ hiking pants underneath. Do you think small would be better? I'm kind of thinking that they won't look good on me at all! Haha.

The pants are designed for layering underneath, so when considering sizing you shouldn't size up. The pants are constructed with layering in mind. At your size I think medium would just be too large. I really didn't like the way the Mediums fit me. The waist was REALLY high and I had a pretty severe case of the mom butt going on because they were just too loose in weird places.

I would recommend size small, even if you plan to add merino or synthetic base layers. You shouldn't need hiking pants since these are totally waterproof and will offer you excellent protection. All you need is 1-2 thermal layers depending on what kind of temps you will be facing.
