The pants I've been looking for!

I am extremely picky about ski pants, and these ones have pretty much all the features I've been looking for. They're great for backcountry skiing because the sides of the legs completely unzip to keep me cool while hiking. They are also super duper waterproof and have suspenders! (I even figured out how to answer to the call of nature in these pants without having the suspenders be a real problem with my other layers!)

I would definitely recommend ordering a size up. I originally ordered a size 2 (my usual size), and although I could put them on, they were too small. Now I have a size 4. I also have fairly long legs and these pants fit my legs! Yes! Told you, these were the pants I was looking for. I always pair my ski pants with Cloudveil's fleece shorts if I'm sitting on chairlifts all day.

    Critical for cold weather hikes!!

These pants are wonderful!! I have used these for winter and early spring hikes and they have served me well. They cut the wind and keep you dry in snowy conditions. I wear these with the Stoic merino bottoms underneath and I am set. They seem to run a little small in the waist, so I recommend sizing up especially if you plan on putting layers under them. Definately worth every penny!!

Do these pants have a drop seat for the call of nature?

Yes, these pants have a drop seat. The suspenders attach to the pants in front of the side zippers. The side zippers are full length and are two-way. They run from the waist band all the way down to the cuffs. So, when nature calls, you don't have to worry about taking the suspenders off, you just pull the velcro tabs on the sides, unzip both sides down from the waist and answer the call.
