The Mammut Ice 45 Backpack holds just enough gear for an ultralight two-day alpine ascent while providing the features and low weight that technical climbers demand. In addition to 2750cu in of cargo space, the 3lb 8oz Ice 45 Backpack also has two secure ice tool holders and a removable waist-belt for added mobility while climbing. Mammut's Butterfly Suspension offers excellent support while shouldering a rope, mixed rack, crampons, tools, food, water, clothes, harness, and everything else that's needed for a couple days on steep alpine terrain. The single aluminum stay is bent like a giant butterfly (hence the name) to transfer most of the weight to your waist without inhibiting movement.
