For year-round alpine adventures.
Alpine climb in the summer and ski tour in the winter in the Mammut Men's Eisfeld Pant. Its Schoeller Dryskin softshell wicks moisture, dries quickly, breathes, and stretches for the utmost performance on the ascent, and it offers durable resistance against abrasion, wind, and water for protection. Mammut's Coldblack treatment prevents the Eisfeld's black fabric from heating up under the summer sun. Dyneema reinforces this pant in all the right places for long-lasting durability.
Mammut also equipped the Eisfeld Pant with zippered vents at each side to release excess heat on sweaty skinning sessions. Removing the snow gaiters readies this pant for summers in the alpine, and side zips assist putting on ski or mountaineer boots. Remove the suspenders and rely on the adjustable waist to reduce bulk and weight. Mammut's Extreme Duo Lock seam construction offers the smoothest feel you can find in softshell pants.

I only used these pants once on the iced dunes of Michigan West coast. I had to wear them under a pair down pants by Western Mountaineering as the wind was blowing snow at -10F.
The quality of the Mammut products is outstanding : breathable, light, resistant. Recommended, even if it an expensive product.
super lightweight/ breathable tech pant
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: Runs small
- Size Bought: Large
This is the lightest most breathable pant I've ever used in the backcountry. I used it without a base layer for an. 8 hour climb to base camp at 60 degrees. Added a base layer for the ascent on mixed rock and ice ; which stayed at zero Celcius most of the day. It's a trim fit and has loads of great features that are super useful in the backcountry. Excellent top of the line breathable
What is the inseam on this pants? I usually wear 34 inseam. Do you think they will be long enough?
How warm are these pants? And what are some examples of some of the warmest ski pants?
They are not going to be the warmest pants. I would look for something with a laminate in them. Either Gore WindStopper or a Waterproof laminate. Those will trap more heat, thus making them warmer. If they have big vents its a plus because then you can vent them.
