Best Ski Pants Ever !

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

These ski pants our outstanding. They are soft, incredibly flexible and stretchy, breath very well, and waterproof. I have worn these on very cold days with only a very light base layer and, on warmer days with only regular underwear - this is possible with these pants because the Schoeller material is very comfortable against your skin, unlike anything else. On very snowy days with very wet lift seats, these pants stayed bone dry. I love them. Worth every penny even though the price is high.

Nice pants but pilling is unacceptable

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had these for about a year now. They aren't the lightest pants but they are really comfortable, usable in a wide range of temperatures.

They climb very well. The boot area is a little too baggy but most pants seem to be like that. The integrated gaiters work very well. Haven't used the bungie loop.

They start pilling a lot at the beginning of this season which causes 1000's of snow and ice balls to stick to the pants. I think that's pretty unacceptable for a product that costs this much but that's just me.

I used these pants all winter (2012-2013) for ice and alpine climbing and I feel just about the same. The fit is excellent. I'm 5'10", 165 pounds and the 32" fits great. I didn't notice the bagginess in the ankle area. I actually thought they are much more tapered than most pants.

As Girard said, the piling is just unacceptable for the price of these pants. I'm half tempted to send them back and get something else that won't wear-out.

I have the same Mad Rock climbing boots your wearing in this picture. Have you ever had any issues with the cuff coming too loose? Ever use a power strap or anything? And have you heard of any sort of liners for extra padding in the toes? Looked high and low!
